Some passengers have received notifications from travel agencies that all June flights on Tibet Airlines’ Chengdu–Phu Quoc route have been canceled.
The direct route from Chengdu Tianfu to Phu Quoc, Vietnam, is Tibet Airlines’ second international/regional route operated out of Chengdu and the fourth Vietnamese destination with nonstop service from the city. It was officially launched on December 28, 2025.
The route filled a gap in nonstop connectivity between Chengdu and Phu Quoc, offering travelers a convenient four-hour direct journey.
Tibet Airlines first announced the launch plan in early December 2025, confirming that the Chengdu Tianfu–Phu Quoc route would be added in the 2025–2026 winter-spring season. The service was operated by an Airbus A319, with one round-trip flight scheduled every Thursday and Sunday.
Following its inaugural flight, the route operated steadily as planned, with twice-weekly round trips on Thursdays and Sundays, providing significant convenience for travelers from Chengdu and surrounding regions heading to Phu Quoc for leisure, saving at least half the travel time compared to connecting flights.
