MakeMyTrip's gross bookings rose 21.3%

The Indian OTA generated revenue of USD 123.2 million in the quarter ended December 31, 2016, an increase of 38.6% YoY.

India’s leading online travel company MakeMyTrip announced its unaudited financial and operating results for its fiscal quarter ended December 31, 2016. 

Highlights

* Transactions for MMT India Standalone Hotels booked Online increased by 105.3% YoY in 3Q17 and MMT India
* Standalone Hotels booked on Mobile increased by 149.8% YoY in 3Q17. 
* India Standalone online hotels business represented over 92% of all Hotels and packages transactions.
* Revenue increased by 41.5% YoY in 3Q17.

Financial Results

Revenue. The company generated revenue of USD 123.2 million in the quarter ended December 31, 2016, an increase of 38.6% (an increase of
41.5% in constant currency) over revenue of USD 88.9 million in the quarter ended December 31, 2015. 

Air Ticketing. Revenue and revenue less service costs increased by 115.7% (120.3% in constant currency) to USD 38.2 million in the
quarter ended December 31, 2016 from USD 17.7 million in the quarter ended December 31, 2015. 

Hotels and Packages. Revenue from hotels and packages business increased by 18.1% (20.5% in constant currency) to USD 82.2 million in the quarter ended December 31, 2016, from USD 69.6 million in the quarter ended December 31, 2015. 

Profit for the quarter ended December 31, 2016 was USD 16.6 million as compared to a loss of USD 19.5 million in the quarter ended December 31, 2015.
