Mr Zhang, in his forties, is a graduate of the University of Nice with ten years’ experience in the internet industry. He has involved in opening a language training center and dabbled in ecommerce and is currently vice chairman of the Chamber of International Commerce Shanghai. In 2012, he launched wifi services for the MICE sector after careful consideration and planning, “We wanted to go beyond just basic internet connection and bring the online+ concept to the convention industry,” he said.
KKH released its 1.0 version in 2013 and followed up with its 2.0 version in September 2014. Its patented Wi-Fi base sations are designed by its own tech team to deliver a more stable wifi connection in crowded conventions and conferences with high volume online traffic. “Our equipment range can cover a semi-circular area of 300-500 meters and is highly resistant to disruption. Each base station is portable with plug-and-play features and can simultaneously deal with receiving and sending 600 and 500 IP addresses,” Mr. Zhang said.
The key values of KKH's service lie in leveraging convention venue data extraction and analysis and creating a user base to enhance user retention for exhibitors with customized value-added services. It gains user activity and data through mobile e-trails, click volume and visit time data through its Wi-Fi service and automatically generates reports providing useful data for its clients' strategic planning.
KKH currently has a 30-member team with three core members: Mr. Zhang as CEO and his PhD classmates at the University of Nice, Nan Yu and Hai Jiang, in charge of KKH’s marketing and technology.(Translation by David)
