Vocust, a Shanghai-headquartered hospitality customer experience solutions provider founded by a former Trip.com executive, announced its A round funding of nearly RMB 100 million (USD 15.7 million), the third financing round since the company’s inauguration in 2019.
The funds will go to product & technology R&D and business development.
Vocust did not disclose the investor details but the company mentioned that its latest funding round was backed by top investors.
The company was invested by big-name players like Tencent and Sequoia Capital in its previous round, according to enterprise data platform Qichacha.com.
Positioned as an Internet company that helps businesses improve customer experience, Vocust develops “digitelligent” experience management system for collecting customer experience and feedback and processing these data, using NLP (Natural Language Processing), big data, and AI technologies. The company has established partnerships with a number of top players including Ctrip, Vipshop, and Tongcheng-Elong.
Ms. Maohua Sun, Founder and CEO of Vocust and formerly COO at Ctrip, anticipated that the service sellers’ market would grow to be worth hundreds of billions yuan in the next few years, as the Chinese economy evolves to increasingly service-oriented. This drives the company to continue its focus on service and user experience (UX) solutions.
