Data from the Ministry of Transport show that China's railways carried 22.89 million passengers from April 30 to May 3, while 2.53 million air passengers were recorded during the time.
For the first four day of the holiday period (May 1-4), the Chinese tourists made 104 million domestic trips and created a tourism receipt of RMB 43.23 billion (USD 6 billion).
