Shanghai International Resort, a mega tourism resort zone in the city's Pudong Area which includes the Shanghai Disney resort, announced that it has so far received 66 million visitors since its opening four years ago.
The resort zone posted a total revenue of RMB 10 billion (USD 1.4 billion) in 2019, up by 17% from the previous year.
As China continues to recover from the COVID-19 impacts on travel and tourism business, Shanghai International Resort has had 317 facilities return to operation so far.
The Shanghai Disneyland theme park remains closed but facilities like Disneytown, Wishing Star Park and the Shanghai Disneyland Hotel have reopened with limited capacity since March. (Translated by Jerry)
