Guangzhou-based air distribution and business travel company Meiya announced on January 15 that the company has raised RMB 120 million in its series A round.
The funding was backed by Fortune Capital and National Small- and Medium-sized Enterprises Fund, a fund launched by China’s Ministry of Finance in 2015. This is the first time the state-run fund invest in the travel sector.
Meiya was established in 1997. Its services, as stated in its website, encompass air-ticket B2B distribution, corporate travel management and vacation tours, and professional travel product and service solutions for worldwide clients. (Translated by Jerry)
