Spring Airline’s net profit jumped 20.75% y-o-y to RMB884 million (approx: US$143 million) with RMB2.95 earnings per share in 2014. The airline also reported in its annual fiscal report that a dividend of RMB2.4 (including tax) per 10 shares will be distributed to shareholders.
The carrier’s operational revenue was up 11.64% to RMB7.328 billion (approx: US$1.18 billion) , largely due to its fleet expansion and maintaining a high load factor of 93.07%.
Net profits were up thanks to higher operational revenue coupled with decreasing operational costs, according to its report.
Spring Airlines has a fleet of 46 A320 aircraft –12 of them are purchased, four are under financial lease, and 30 planes are under operational lease. The average aircraft age of its fleet is 3.74 years.(Translation by David)
