Blacklane has acquired Solve to ease travelers’ airport anxiety around the world. Solve created the first platform to book global airport concierge services: Curbside and air-side passenger meet and greet, fast-track security, expedited customs and immigration, connecting flight assistance and lounge access.
“Frequent travelers’ most valuable asset is time, and airport procedures waste a lot of it. Concierge services save travelers time before and after flights while making the most out of the time spent in airports,” said Blacklane Co-founder and CEO Jens Wohltorf. “This is a natural extension of Blacklane’s personal service and high-quality rides as it connects the dots between a comfortable flight and a comfortable ride.”
The deal makes door-to-door trips even smoother. Blacklane invented a way to book professional driver services as easily as flights and hotels. The company consolidated fragmented local service providers under a high-quality, customer-friendly experience. Its footprint spans more than 50 countries, 250 cities and 500 airports.
Similarly, Solve unified global airport concierge services for business and leisure travelers. In less than a minute, they could book international and domestic assistance at more than 500 airports. Solve was founded last year and was selected to Y Combinator’s Summer 2017 batch.
“Airport concierge services have lacked a trusted name, a smart booking process and global scalability. Blacklane has proven its ability to solve these issues. This acquisition is good news for travelers, local service providers, and the future of our Solve platform,” said Solve CEO and Founder Blaine Vess.
Travelers will be able to book Blacklane’s airport services, with or without airport transfers, in December.
