Major appliance retail chain Guomei has announced it will launch an online hotel booking service in the near future. Users will be able to choose and book hotels on Guomei’s hotel booking channel on its website and app.
Guomei is the largest household appliance retail chain in China with O2O distribution in most cities. Its vice president Xiangping Huang said: “Guomei’s online hotel booking service is now in the testing stage and is already receiving bookings. We currently have over 28 partner hotels in our national network.“
Guomei will adopt the third party OTA partnership method for its hotel booking operations. Hotels in its network includes luxury and mid-level hotels like Aman Resorts, Intercontinental Hotels, Shangri-La Hotel, Starwood Hotels and the Green Tree Inn.
This move follows Guomei’s introduction of an online air ticket booking service earlier this year and is another major step in its venture into the online tourism market. Guomei’s online operations will also accelerate its coverage of ticketing service for attractions, holiday tours, cruises, international air tickets and international hotels.
Mr. Huang said the launch of Guomei’s hotel booking service will offer users special prices, convenient service and an excellent after sales experience.(Translation by David)
