ChinaTravelNews – Qunar has announced it will launch “Chang JingTong” platform to open up its attractions ticketing data, interfaces and resources to trade users free of charge.
As of November 2014, Qunar’s attractions distribution channel covered around 7,000 domestic scenic locations ( 83% of them at grade 5A ranking) selling tickets online for more than 10,000 individual attractions domestically, as well as some 2,000 overseas locations in 156 countries.
An industry observer notes that Qunar’s latest move will help the attraction ticketing supply chain to acquire information and technology more effectively, thus enhancing ticket sales speed and cash flow efficiency. Meanwhile, customers will also get to enjoy more individualized products and service experiences.
Information distribution in the domestic attractions ticketing industry has been disorganized with no integrated platform to consolidate ticketing management. Distributors had to grapple with discrepancies between information and resources and laborious manual bookkeeping.
“We will offer a more convenient and automated system via the Chang JingTong platform that will quickly connect the premier resources and quality customers bases of different suppliers. It will provide an attractions ticketing system complete with an enhanced interface, booking management and report management functions to replace manual ticketing and bookkeeping,” Qunar’s attractions division general manager Jie Hu told reporters.(Translation by David)
