BBC unveils its online travel marketplace in Australia and NZ

The Wall Street Journal teamed up with Upside Travel to launch The Wall Street Journal Business Travel Service.

BBC Global News has announced the launch of “Discover Beyond,” (www.DiscoverBeyond.com) an inspirational consumer travel marketplace that enables BBC audiences to discover, plan and book unforgettable experiences through hundreds of activities, mix and match flights and hotels and carefully crafted travel packages.

Initially launching in Australia and New Zealand, Discover Beyond is a brand new digital travel service that draws on the editorial inspiration of BBC Travel, the global features site of BBC.com and the industry expertise of TRAVLR-powered technology, to bring BBC audiences curated travel packages focused around culture, food, discovery and adventure. Users will be given exclusive access to curated itineraries that are directly inspired by BBC Travel Journeys, bringing beautiful stories to life and transporting them to the heart and soul of a destination.

This partnership harnesses the scale and quality of the BBC.com audience together with TRAVLR’s world-first platform and travel ecosystem to deliver a seamless user experience. In turn, this innovative product provides new and significant opportunities for travel brands and tourism partners to develop commercial campaigns with BBC Global News and TRAVLR, including the creation of bespoke travel packages and the advertising of them to the BBC’s premium, affluent traveller audience, creating an end-to-end proposition, from promotion to transaction.
