Ctrip’s Things-to-Do Department announced on July 10 that it has formed a strategic partnership with the world’s largest tourism attraction pass provider, Leisure Pass Group (LPG), to customize Dolphin Pass for Chinese tourists visiting Europe and America.
At the same time, LPG, as the exclusive local agent of Dolphin Pass, will sell Shanghai, Beijing and other Dolphin Pass products to international audiences.
This marks a stepping up of Ctrip’s global efforts in destination activities and travel pass products after it launched the industry’s first global things-to-do platform in May.
As the first initiative of the partnership, LPG will help Ctrip introduce the London Dolphin Pass, which is an upgrade of the traditional London Pass in four aspects:
* Greater saving: Pass holders can visit more than 60 attractions in London with one travel pass and save 20%-30% in costs.
* Digital operation: By scanning the QR codes on e-tickets, pass holders will not need to make reservations to collect tickets in person.
* VIP access: Designated expressway and VIP treatment are available for travel pass holders.
* Chinese e-guides: Simplified electronic travel guides in Chinese will offer addresses, routes, opening hours, hotline numbers, preferred merchants and other information.
