Guangzhou-based cheap flight search engine Dwfei.com announced it has completed its Pre-A round worth millions of yuan. The investment round was led by Tencent and followed by Haipeng Capital and Hexiang Capital. Kenny Qi, founder of Dwfei.com, said the fund will be used for expanding the company’ team and the geographical coverage of the flight options on offer.
Dwfei.com, a platform targeting young outbound travelers, aims to provide users with better travel experience by helping them travel to more countries for minimal airfare cost. By taking advantage of technological innovations that integrate inventories from airlines, the company enables users to have access to good-value tickets.
Founded in September, 2015, Dwfei.com launched its App in March this year. The company has since amassed nearly 300,000 users and has completed RMB 10 million worth of transactions via its App. (Translated by Claire)
