A series of regulations for China’s car-hailing industry will be announced and implemented soon, China’s Ministry of Transport spokesman Chengguang Xu, said on September 28.
The ministry will also study supplementary rules to regulate accreditation of online platforms for car-hailing service, the ride-sharing process, mileage- and time-recording equipment, vehicle registration and driver background.
In the meantime, transport departments of local governments are also completing their work on local guidelines in conjunction with the central government’s regulations.
A set of provisional rules on the country’s car-hailing market had been issued on July 27, 2016, jointly by seven central government departments including the Ministry of Transport. (Translate by Jerry)
