Destination travel product distribution platform QuHappy.com has announced it had completed Pre-A round financing last May. The investment from a venture capital fund owned by Guangdong Technology Venture Capital Group in the round boosted the valuation of QuHappy to above RMB 100 million.
Guangzhou-based QuHappy integrates and distributes overseas independent travel resources through online and offline channels. Its “one click” and “one-to-many” business model offers greater distribution efficiency than traditional channels, and its around-the-clock services meets independent travellers’ needs to “book at any time”. Currently, QuHappy has set up 10 overseas branches, in Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam and the Philippines.
QuHappy started off with local tours in Guangdong province and later shifted to overseas independent travel. It now operates in global distribution of overseas destination travel products. The platform lists around 10,000 independent travel products, ranging from admission tickets to local sightseeing, transportation and shopping. About 40% of the listings are exclusive. The monthly transaction volume of QuHappy is reported to be RMB 30 million.
QuHappy has the strongest presence in Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. The majority of the products on the platform are directly deals with attractions and restaurants while others are provided by local tour operators and other B2B platforms. As a travel aggregator, QuHappy has exclusive supply of admission tickets to attractions that it has worked with for a number of years.
