Local travel startup Yikuaiqu (“一块去”) was listed on the New Third Board, officially known as the National Equities Exchange and Quotations (NEEQ), on May 20.
Yikuaiqu’s platform offers direct access to 4,722 attractions and 1,253 hotels as well as more than 1,000 “attraction and accommodation” packages on its website, app, Wechat account, HTML5 website and online Tmall store.
Established in July 2012, the company had built a pool of 801,000 monthly active users as of last November, among those 428,000 were app users, 402,000 were registered Wechat public accounts, and the PC/HTML5 end received 441,000 unique visitors monthly. Access via HTML5 mobile devices increased a whopping 2,197.16% compared to 2014, and access via PC website and Wechat also increased 16.21% and 38.86% respectively. The Changzhou-based startup offered travel services for 1.556 million tourists in 2015, and 1.27 million of them became registered users.
The company’s operating revenue grew robustly, at 1,502.20% YoY in 2014 and 966.20% in the first eight months of 2015 compared to that of the full year of 2014.
The company focuses mainly on attraction tickets, resort hotels booking and short tours. Besides, it also serves as technology provider and distributor of other travel brands.(Translated by Claire)
