ITO, a popular online luggage brand, has obtained tens of millions of yuan from Meridian Capital in its A round of financing.
A Shanghai designer brand, ITO entered the traditional suitcase sector in 2007 with a travel case that later proved to be a sensational product on Taobao, Alibaba’s online shopping website.
ITO runs more than 30 stores in Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Vietnam, the United States, Hong Kong, Taiwan and other countries and regions. It has been expanding its offline presence after launching its first unmanned shop in Shanghai in 2014.
Over the past year, up to 1,000 KOLs traveled with ITO suitcases across 157 countries around the globe. The photos and reviews shared on social media have consolidated brand affinity with ITO.
