Ctrip has recently added airport valet parking reservation in its App. The service costs only a fifth of the regular airport parking charge.
The valet parking service is offered at 30 airports in 29 major Chinese cities.
China has 327 million motor vehicle drivers in 2015, according to data provided by Traffic Management Bureau. There are about 124 million private car owners in China and 100 million rides are made to or from airports annually.
Valet parking service and other extended services such as car maintenance is expected to present enormous potential to be tapped. As well, Ctrip will extend to valet parking at railway stations. (Translated by Jerry)
