KLM has launched a new app which can learn to know each user better and anticipate their travel needs, with simplified bookings and a gorgeous user interface.
The airline describes the app as “a truly reassuring travel companion.” The interface is smooth and includes functions like easy bookings, one-tap check-in, quick payment and easy seat selection.
Each time you open the app it provides the information you need most in that context and recommends the next action to take, in the context of your travels.
“With this new app we have reached the next level in anticipating our customers’ needs, keeping them one step ahead of their journey. And this is only the beginning. Together with our customers we will continuously improve and further develop the app and our other mobile services,” says Tjalling Smit, Senior Vice President E-Commerce, Air France KLM
The airline says this new app is a first step forward in the creation of a new digital ecosystem. Its flat design and APIs can be extended to other digital touch-points giving passengers “a frictionless and familiar experience—anywhere, anytime, on any device.”
The more KLM’s customers use the app, the better it will remember their travel preferences and make personalized offers, becoming the handy digital air travel concierge you always longed-for and never thought you’d meet.
