In an effort to enable travel agencies to generate more leads and sales from their websites, the American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA) has signed an agreement with Resolve Digital. (1/12/2007)

The agreement provides for low-cost, professional website evaluations to ASTA members worldwide.

ASTA executive vice president and chief operating officer William A. Maloney, CTC, believes this is a smart move for the organisation and its 20,000-plus members.

“Our mission is to enhance the professionalism and profitability of member agents, so we’re always on the look-out for tools to help improve the way they do business. The Internet has transformed the travel industry. To remain competitive, our members need websites that are engaging, informative, and user-friendly,” said Maloney.

Resolve’s Web evaluation reports include a list of recommendations so agencies understand the top priorities and know what steps to take first.

According a release, a Web site evaluation is the fast, cost-effective way to improve a site’s performance. The process starts with a 24-point questionnaire that helps agencies define their business goals and target audiences – to think about their Web site strategically. At the conclusion, a Web evaluation report describes the problem areas and offers recommendations to fix them.
