After Elliott Management had taken a 11.8% percent stake in Travelport, it said it would ask Travelport to consider unlocking the value of its payments unit eNett.
In settling this lawsuit, Amadeus doesn’t admit to any wrongdoing or violations of antitrust law. Along with Travelport, Amadeus agreed to have its team engage in antitrust compliance training.
Travelport, the other member of the group of major GDSs in the market, is not part of the investigation.
Farelogix enabled airlines to directly distribute air tickets partly by bypassing technology middlemen like Sabre and its peers Amadeus and Travelport.
Amadeus' adjusted profit grew 5.1% to €886.6 million, while EBITDA increased 8.6% to €1,588.0 million.
Travelport net income reached $6 million in Q3 2018, Beyond Air revenue increased by 14% to $193 million.
Travel Network revenue increased 10.7% to $700.2 million, Airline Solutions revenue increased 1.1% to $209.4 million, and Hospitality Solutions revenue increased 3.1% to $69.9 million.
