If your company wants to increase click-through rates in mobile advertising on Google, inserting a click-to-call option and/or displaying a local address are providing substantial upticks.
That’s the view of Jonathan Rosenberg, Google’s senior vice president of product management.
During yesterday’s second quarter earnings call, Rosenberg said that smartphone ads with phone numbers and local addresses produced click-through rate increases of 6% and 8%, respectively.
Rosenberg noted that there currently are thousands of active, click-to-call ad campaigns for the keywords “travel agency.”
