Tencent-invested online travel company Tongcheng-Elong was notified by Mr. James Liang, co-chairman of the company and executive chairman of the company's backer Trip.com Group, that Smart Charm Limited acquired 1,099,600 ordinary shares with a nominal value of US$0.0005 each in the share capital of the company on market, with an average price of HK$13.5731 per share.
This represents approximately 0.05% of the total issued share capital of the company as at the date of this announcement. Smart Charm is a company wholly-owned by the spouse of Mr. Liang.
Following the completion of the acquisitions, Mr. Liang will be deemed to be interested in 1,099,600 Shares, representing approximately 0.05% of the total issued share capital of the Company as at the date of this announcement.
