In the first half of 2017, China Eastern Airlines recorded an operating revenue of 48.02 billion yuan and a net profit attributable to shareholders of 4.347 billion yuan, up by 3.64% and 34.46% over the previous year respectively.
Air China recorded an operating revenue of 58.155 billion yuan and a net profit of 3.326 billion yuan, representing an increase of 8.65% and a decrease of 3.79% respectively compared with the same period of last year.
China Southern Airlines recorded an operating revenue of 60.319 billion yuan and a net profit of 2.768 billion yuan, representing an increase of 11.54% and a decrease of 11.62% respectively compared with the same period of last year.
China Eastern Airlines is the only company that recorded an increase in net profit attributable to shareholders, which is mainly attributable to its mixed ownership reform in its cargo service.
